Tip #34: Color Code Photoshop (Photoshop CS2)
By: Tedric GarrisonFor those of you who follow this section, you may be looking up in the corner and asking yourself, what is Tedric doing giving a Photoshop CS2 Tip?? No, I have not
converted over yet, but I did find this tip interesting and it is something that you can NOT do in Photoshop 7 or older.
Across the top of your screen you see a variety of drop down menus, go over to
Window down to Workspace over to Keyboard Shortcuts & Menus
This will open it's own dialog box similar to the one below. It is actually quite big. If it does not open by default click on the Menus Tab, then scroll down the Application
Menu Command and click once on the small blue arrow to the left of the Menu that
you want to customize.
In this example, I opened up the section that said File, then I scrolled down to the
section that says: Save for Web. By default, under the section that says "Color"
you will see everything marked as None. Not to fear, simply click once on the word
None, and a drop down menu will show up that gives you several color options.
The end result is shown below. Now you don't have to get over whelmed by the hundreds of options that are out there. You can customize and color code your
version of Photoshop (CS2 or higher) to quickly find the commands you use most often.
